Day 1--Sunday
We went to see what Chad flys--the C17. My family couldn't believe how big the plane was and how he actually gets it off the ground into the air! He was excited to show them his knowledge of the plane...After this we went to Fort Moultrie...the first tourist destination on our stop.

We headed to the Isle of Palms today...we brought along bocce ball. We enjoyed fun, food, and waves. We then came home to brisket and homemade ice cream!
Day 3--Tuesday
We went to Charles Towne Landing. This was where more than 300 years ago the English colonists set up the first permanent settlement. We were able to view a wilderness area where animals the colonists would have encountered were caged. We also walked around the grounds where the colony was set up and went through a museum which helped up to understand more of what life was like during this time.
They are locked up! Maybe they should stay that way....hehe 
Day 4--Wednesday
We went to the Charleston Tea Plantation. This tea plantation is unique because it is the only tea plantation in America that grows and distributes its own tea. We were able to try a peach and black tea which were both very tasty. Of course we decided to purchase some for home! Who could resist. After the tea plantation, we went to the Angel Oak. This oak tree is special because it is over 1,500 years old and streches over 150 feet. It was pretty amazing! It provided great shade on this hot, humid day! That evening we went to the improv comedy show downtown Charleston...which is a must go from now on!

Day 5--Thursday
Today we went to Savannah, Georgia in hopes of going to Lady and Sons, Paula Deen's restaurant. The only bad part was when we got there, we weren't able to eat because they couldn't seat us until 9:30 at night! That's how much people like that place. Sooo we settled for walking around the shops, buying saltwater taffy, and eating a wing bar.

Day 6--Friday
This was our anniversary day!! We have been married 5 years!! Wow, can you believe it!?! After making burgers, we went downtown and did some shopping. We then came home to enjoy a dinner at Wasabi, a Japanese Steakhouse! We had great entertainment, delicious food, and family time!
Day 7--Saturday
Or should I say....sad day....My family had to leave and go back to TX. I was sad to have a quiet home again and my animals such did miss all the attention. I can't wait until they come back and visit again!

looks like yall had a wonderful time with your family! i love family time :) we stopped by the lady and sons restaurant last year on our Southeast Road Trip (when we visited yall!) we went for lunch and it took an hour to get us in, but we got in! i think you've gone there before, havent you? i thought i remember wanting to go there b/c i saw you had. hmmm.
Yep! We've gone..my parents wanted to try it out, but didn't get the chance..maybe next time! :)
