Spring BREAK!!

I had a great spring break! We were going to travel north to D.C., but ended up heading west to Tennessee. We had a lot of fun there. We headed to Nashville after we dropped our babies off at daycare (Rio's first time). We headed with bikes in tow to Nashville. Once we got there we were tired so we didn't do much sightseeing. The next day we decided to head to the Opryland Hotel, which was amazing! The entire hotel is made into a botanical garden. It was beautiful and smelled perfect! It took 2 hours to walk around the entire hotel. There were so many separate gardens and things to see along the way. We then headed to Opryland Mills, which is the mall connected to the hotel. We stayed here a good deal of the day walking in and out of stores. Later that afternoon we took a tour of the Grand Ole Opry. That night we went downtown Nashville to eat at the Wildhorse Saloon (side note: this is the place on CMT where you see all the country dance lessons being taught).
The next day we went downtown Nashville again and visited the County Music Hall of Fame, which was what I wanted to do. We ate some amazing BBQ and spent the rest of the afternoon walking around downtown. Later that day we went to the Parthenon (one built like the similar one in Greece...which Chad saw) in a park near downtown.

The next day we headed to find a bike trail on our way to Pigeon Forge. This was our first official mountain biking experience besides Del Rio, but it was a lot of fun. We climbed some hills, rode over ditches, and along cliffs. Somewhat scary, but all in all lots of excitement.
Once we finished mountain biking we headed to Pigeon Forge to stay the night before heading to Dollywood. That next day we weren't able to go to Dollywood because of the rain...we didn't really want to waste our money if it was going to be rainy all day. So we decided to head downtown Gatlinburg where we went to 7 different Ripley's places including an aquarium and haunted house. That night we made reservations to see the Dixie Stampede similar to the Knight Dinner Shows. If you have never done this before it was so much fun! I recommend it to all. This was the last day of our adventure and we were happy to get home to our animals!
