Well, we have made it to see our future home. In going there over my spring break we only really planned on getting a feel for things in the area and look at a few houses in the area. We flew in on Tuesday and started right off with looking at houses that day. We didn't want to wait; we were sooo excited! The three houses that we looked at were my top choices so from then on I was comparing the rest of them to the first ones. Then we went to a new construction community that was just building up and they were really really nice, but very much out of our price range. The second and third days we looked are more pre-owned and new construction homes and later decided that we were going to build a home. We didn't think that we were going to make the decision right away, but it was soo easy. Building a home was almost the same price as buying a pre-owned home. CRAZY! I know!
Anyway, we picked out our lot and made an appointment for our design choices for April where we would pick colors, floors, countertops, etc.
Charleston in general is beautiful!! We had so much fun going around Summerville and downtown Charleston. I know we are definitely going to enjoy living there.
